Lady Gaga describes her marriage proposal to Michael Polansky: “it’s unpredictable”

The singer and actress, who plays Harley Quinn in ‘Joker 2’, also shared her close-ups for the wedding party

In an interview to promote the launch of Joker: Delirium for two, Lady Gaga participated in the program Jimmy Kimmel and shared details of his engagement with Michael Polanskij. For the first time the actress and singer spoke about her marriage proposal and also shared her plans for the ceremony.

Recalling the request, which occurred in March, Gaga said she was frustrated with the date [de seu aniversário] they moved on and he didn’t ask for her hand in marriage. “He asked me right after my birthday. And my birthday was over and I thought ‘wow, I thought he was going to ask me,'” she said. “She made me a beautiful dinner for my birthday and then we went on a trip together and went climbing.”

He continued, contradicting expectations that the proposal would happen at the top of the mountain: “We went up to the top, looked at the view, took some photos and then came down and were walking back to the room. We were talking and he said… It was very Michael, he asked if he could ask me. He wanted to know if he could ask, before he asked… And I said ‘yes!'”.

When asked by the host why Polansky didn’t propose to her on top of the mountain, Gaga defended her boyfriend. “He was smart and confident. He didn’t kneel, but I’m a modern person, I liked the way he asked,” she said, before concluding: “Michael is unpredictable.”

Kimmel then inquired about wedding plans, offering to DJ the ceremony. Gaga shared completely opposite plans, proving that she hadn’t thought at all about the event itself. “I don’t know what we’re going to do. We’re not sure yet. We talk a lot about both of us going to the registry office and then ordering Chinese food. Polansky is an executive involved in several charities and is executive director of the Parker Foundation, which supports the development of science, health and the arts. The couple has been together since December 2019.
