Rayane Figliuzzi’s team clarifies that the influencer was mistakenly confused with an embezzler in a 2022 report.
Rayane Figliuzzi’s office issued a statement on Tuesday (14) to clarify that the participant in “A Fazenda 17” was mistakenly mistaken for an embezzler. The team denies that the influencer was arrested and explains that there was a misidentification in a report published in 2022.
The document released by the team of singer Belo’s girlfriend clarifies that a news broadcast showed the arrest of a woman accused of embezzlement and mistakenly identified the image as that of Rayane Figliuzzi. Documents obtained by the LeoDias portal confirm that the person detained was Rayane Silva Souza and not Rayane da Silva Figliuzzi.
Lawyer Márcia Passalini, the influencer’s legal representative, explained that the error originated in a television report. “According to the extrajudicial notification already sent to the original vehicle, it is a matter of mistaken identity: the person to whom the complaint refers is Rayane Silva Souza, and not Rayane da Silva Figliuzzi. Furthermore, Rayane was never arrested: on 02/13/2022 she was only taken to the 108th DP for clarification and knowledge of the precautionary measures”, we read in the text.
The episode occurred on February 13, 2022, when Figliuzzi was taken to the 108th Police Station to provide clarifications, but was not arrested. The complaint relating to the influencer’s alleged involvement in the “motorcycle courier scam” was registered in 2021 in Santa Catarina.
The defense claims that Figliuzzi remains free and that the case is still being examined by the courts. Since the wrong image was recovered on social media, the reality TV participant has suffered virtual attacks.
Passalini asked the media that published the incorrect information to rectify or remove the content. According to the document, the continued disclosure of this error “tarnishes the honor and image of Ms. Rayane da Silva Figliuzzi and misleads the public.”
The team reiterates that Rayane only went to the police station to provide clarification in the case and was later released.
