The British beer style, based on traditional English ales, is characterized by the balance between malt and hops, with notes that can recall almonds.
In this way, the Brazilian Ashby Session IPA, which has some similarities in characteristics, such as copper color, good foam formation, malty aroma with notes of caramel, earthy English hops and yeast esters, obtained the title of “World’s Best Bitter Over 5.5%”, i.e. the best beer with bitterness above 5.5% alcohol content, the highest recognition in the category.
This year Ashby also excelled in competitions in South America, in countries such as Peru and Paraguay. Aromatic and light in body, the drink has a dry finish, with earthy flavours, which guarantees a good evaluation by the technical staff of the tournaments, as they consider it a very original production.
