“I only spoke to you because you are very kind, because he is a public man. Otherwise I would be calm, in my mourning,” Fátima told Patrícia, on this morning’s program.
Married to the journalist since 2000, she says she had already imagined that, given the age difference, Cid “maybe would have gone first”. Fátima is 59 years old, while the journalist died at 97.
“He was a spiritual guy, he was a quiet guy. He said he wanted to be cremated in Ttaubaté, to be close to his first wife, his daughter, his grandson. I thought ‘he loves Petrópolis’, I thought I’d say goodbye to him here and in Rio I don’t know what to do, I’m a bit dizzy, I’ll need help”, Fátima continued in the interview.
The journalist, announcer and presenter Cid Moreira, one of the most famous faces and voices of Brazilian television, has died at the age of 97, after being admitted to the Santa Teresa hospital, in Petrópolis, in the Serrana region of RJ. He was being treated for pneumonia.
