Considered one of the great names in journalism, Cid turned 97 a few days ago, on September 29, and has received numerous honors. “To start Monday by thanking you with many messages for my birthday, I recorded the poem “My eight years”, by Casemiro de Abreu…”thanked in one of the posts.

Over the course of his career, according to Memória Globo, Cid Moreira presented the Jornal Nacional to his home audience approximately 8 thousand times, in 27 years of the program. Cid was also part of the “Fantástico” team for a few years and marked a generation by telling the story of Mister M.
