RBD made an unexpected announcement as part of World RBD Day. On the evening of this October 4th Maite Perroni, Christopher Uckermann and Christian Chávez confirmed the embezzlement of millionaires by their former manager, Guillermo Rosas.
Through a statement released on their social networks, RBD members celebrated the end of legal proceedings against their former task force member, ensuring that justice had finally been served.
“Today, World RBD Day, There is no better way to celebrate than to do justice. Finally, After a year, the matter was concluded. The truth is on our side,” they noted.
“As set forth in the Final Agreement, T6H, through its Owner, Guillermo Rosas, claimed rights for 10 million 072 thousand 811 dollars, in relation to managing RBD’s live shows in the United States of America, Mexico, Brazil and Colombia,” they explained.
“After filing a complaint against Guillermo and his company in both Federal Court and the California Labor Commissioner, in addition to a thorough review, T6H received an amount of 4 million 723 thousand 591 dollars, an amount that is 5 million 349 thousand 220 less than what Guillermo initially claimed,” they added.
He said, the RBD members have indicated that they will take legal action against their former manager, stressing that his case would set a precedent in the entertainment industry.
“That is why we have decided to take action on this matter. We feel a responsibility to address the challenges that may arise in the industry, with the protection of artists’ rights as our priority. This is a reminder for young artists to have the courage to stand up for themselves and demand respect. In this industry it is vital to fight for your rights,” they said, stressing that they will continue to “advocate for justice and respect in the art world.”
Why didn’t Anahí and Dulce María sign the statement or the lawsuits against Guillermo Rosas?
According to Christian Chávez, the the reason why the names of Anahí and Dulce María do not appear in the communications nor the demands It is because the company Singh Singh & Trauben Llp is preceded by three people.
“We are in this trial because we are the president (Christopher)I’m the vice president, and Maite She’s the treasurer, that’s why our names are like that” he explained to “Ventaneando” last June, stressing that the lawsuit had to be filed as a company and not individually.
