Honey Maia took to her social networks to share an important milestone: the completion of her hair transition, taking on her curly hair once and for all. However, the actress did not escape criticism and responded firmly to the negative comments.
After years of straightening her hair for her career, Mel decided to go back to her natural hair, going through a long transition process. She recently chopped off the rest of her straightened hair, revealing her new locks and sparking a number of reactions among her followers.
“You know I don’t care about anything, that I’m not the type to respond to comments, I’m very calm with life. But I will respond. The hair I had before wasn’t my hair. It was chemically treated hair from my 10 years.”
Mel also highlighted: “For those who criticize, you’ll have to live with it. Because it’s my natural hair. My hair is curly. So yeah, for me it’s freedom. Because I’ve never really lived with my curly hair.”
