Norteño music singer Lalo Mora has been the subject of multiple accusations of sexual harassment in recent years. The accusations began after several videos went viral in which he appears to inappropriately touch his followers during photo shoots.
Recently, the former member of Los Invasores de Nuevo León pointed out that the situation has “scared” him, which is why he no longer “grabs” his followers.
” They’ve already scared me(they tell me) that old man who goes around grabbing girls. They’re getting closebut we are not going to speak ill of them, It’s not their fault they’re beautiful.“, he said in an interview on the show “Sale el sol”.
The “King of a Thousand Crowns”, as he is also known, has declared that he will never touch women again.
” I promise not to grab them again“I already said it once and I keep it, eyes yes, little hands no, I see them like flowers, as they are, like beautiful flowers, a kiss to all my beautiful fans,” he added.
According to his statements, he stopped doing this kind of touching because the controversy affected his personal life.
“Now I avoid those things because my old lady gets angry, my friends get angry“, he stated.
The harassment charges against Lalo Mora
In July 2020, the former member of Los Invasores de Nuevo León was accused of violating health regulations amid the coronavirus pandemic, after he kissed his followers on the mouth, hugged one of them while putting his hand over her mouth to touch the waist area.
On another occasion, Primer Impacto showed a video where the singer takes a fan on stage and kisses her, in addition to grabbing her buttocks.
In 2021, a video went viral showing him touching a fan’s breasts without her consent after she asked him for a photo at the end of a concert in Pico Rivera, California.
The images show him putting his hand inside the woman’s blouse at chest height, a situation which apparently made her uncomfortable and for which she immediately removed it.
Due to the videos that have been released about his behavior, Lalo Mora has been accused by some netizens of being “sexist”, “misogynist” and “harassment”.
