Anna Tsukanova-Kott: 10 short questions

What is he – “Major” – after 9 years?

It is noteworthy that my heroine had a son. I was surprised by this not on the set, because the boy really looks like me and Sasha Oblasov, as if we really had a child. The characters have changed as expected, new family difficulties appear in their lives, the fourth season is no longer as easy in terms of her relationships and falling in love as, for example, the second was.

Who on the set was a real discovery for you?

A real discovery for me was our cameraman Yasha Bashta. The fact is that Yasha is the son of the famous Vladimir Bashta, who filmed “Brest Fortress” and the series “Cadets”, in which I starred when I was 14 years old. We first met Yasha when he was 7-8 years old. Therefore, it was a big surprise for me that a person whom I knew as a child, on the set, has already become a great cameraman and did an excellent job.

Should we wait for the continuation of “Major”?

This will be known later, but I and I think all the artists and crew of “Major” will be happy to continue the series.

It’s no secret that you love to cook. What dish are you still missing?

No matter how ridiculous it may sound, but dumplings for me are some kind of stumbling block (laughs). So far I have not been able to deal with them. But I really want to master Georgian cuisine – khinkali, khachapuri, etc. Now, unfortunately, everything related to the test is not working yet. But perhaps this is good, because eating gluten is harmful.

Once I had to taste…

I had to try the pigeon. It was a soup we were served at a restaurant in Vietnam. I did not know this in advance, but when I found the head in the plate, I was, of course, shocked.

Three most “delicious” films?

Documentary about Japanese chef “Jiro’s Dreams of Sushi”, “Julie and Julia: Cooking Happiness with a Recipe” by Nora Ephron and “Eat, Pray, Love” by Ryan Murphy.

Weirdest compliment you’ve ever received?

Sometimes fans come up and say: “Wow, my God, you are much thinner / prettier in real life than on the screen,” but there have been cases and vice versa – allegedly on the screen is better, a dubious compliment.

You would never have guessed that I can’t…

Go to discos (laughs). I’m kind of a lighter and a fun person, but a disco and going to a club with dancing and loud music, where you need to party, is a huge stress for me. I don’t like noisy places.

You will be surprised when you find out that I can …

Great to play chess! I have been fond of them since childhood, I even have a teacher, so this is my favorite game.

What was the last thing that surprised/excited you?

My last shock is Montenegro! You have no idea how beautiful, underrated this place is!
