“It really is a disgrace to wealth,” says CCA Executive Director Joy Berlin. “We are thrilled that the CriticsChoice Awards is returning to its original January show on The CW and has become more popular than ever. Our documentary awards receive more and more entries each year. And as the number of CCA members has grown over the past year and has become even more diverse, we are pleased to respond accordingly by expanding our event portfolio. The addition of the first Asia-Pacific Film and Television celebration, along with the success of last year’s first Latin Film and Television celebration and the 5th anniversary of the Black Film and Television celebration allows us to continue to honor the greatest achievements of a side to side. camera and shine a light on underrepresented and underrated storytellers.”
