Sofia Castro reveals who designed her wedding dress

Before the wedding ceremony took place, Sofia Castro shared with Elle the details of the exclusive wedding dress she would wear for the big day.

“So this is finally my wedding dress, the one I’ve been dreaming about since I was little,” she says in a video, in which she models the piece.

“It’s a custom-made Oscar de la Renta dress, designed by Fernando García,” she said of who created it.

The star of soap operas such as El Maleficio, who can be seen here on ViX, said: “The truth is, it’s my dream dress.”

“The lace, the flowers, the train, the veil, everything, everything, it’s absolutely what I dreamed of, so I’m delighted to be getting married in this dress,” she said.

The 28-year-old star took the opportunity and revealed that her mother, Angelica Rivera, supported her in her painstaking search for the ideal dowry.

“I wouldn’t have succeeded without my mother and without Karla Guindi, who accompanied me throughout this process,” he said.

Sofia Castro cried when she tried on her wedding dress

According to the media, it was “destiny” that took Sofia Castro “on a date” with Fernando Garcia, creative director of the Oscar de la Renta company, who caught “her idea as soon as they sat down to talk.”

“The connection was instant, he penciled her the dress she had dreamed of. A princess design, tailored to her body and style, that quickly took shape with a few tweaks,” they explain.

“A long train, a veil that touched the floor and the meticulous choice of fabrics. Embroidered lace, every detail was thought of, even the flowers that adorned the dress were placed one by one to perfectly suit her shape and personality,” they add.

About the moment she wore the finished special outfit, the daughter of José Alberto ‘El Güero’ Castro admitted:

“When I put on the dress, I couldn’t stop crying. I was so excited I couldn’t believe it. After so many trials, so many moments of hope and expectation, I was there, living a moment that I will always carry in my heart.”

The magazine clarifies that the piece was “painstakingly crafted by a Mexican seamstress” and that it was “made with embroidered details and layers of lace and tulle.”
