The laptop may only be used to review course materials while preparing for trial
P. Diddy will have access to a laptop in prisonwhich you can use to review learning materials as you prepare for the test federal sex crime charges.
According to information from “People”, the defense lawyers have already asked Combs to have access to the laptop after the judge Arun Subramanian denied him bail, becoming the third judge to do so, citing the risk of possible witness tampering.
But Subramanian ruled Thursday, Dec. 12, that Combs would have access to a laptop pre-loaded with discovery materials in his prison unit at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn.
What will Diddy use the laptop for?
The laptop will have no functionality beyond viewing materials and cannot be used for taking or storing notes, according to Subramanian’s order.
According to the order obtained by PEOPLE, the Bad Boy Records founder must have access to the laptop “seven days a week, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.” Any further access to the laptop will have to be discussed with the government, Subramanian ruled, adding that the court would rule on any disputes.
P.Diddy is in prison for sex trafficking, extortion and more
Combs was indicted in September in federal court in Manhattan on charges of sex trafficking, extortion and transportation to engage in prostitution.
The accusations revolve around alleged “aberrations”which according to the prosecution involved highly orchestrated sexual performances between sex workers and women.
