After having intrigued fans and surf lovers by hinting that he would become a father for the first time, Gabriel Medina, 31, spoke on Sunday 19th about the publication of an ultrasound image showing a child with a surfboard.

The three-time world champion of the sport has denied rumors that his girlfriend, Isabella Arantes, 28, is pregnant. The post was a marketing action to draw attention to the athlete’s new brand, aimed at children: Medininha Oficial.

“This is how Medininha (@medininhaoficial) was born, a character inspired by my story, created to bring sport and love for nature to the new generations. He represents childhood, purity, the first steps and the beginning of a dream. New things coming soon”, he wrote on social media.

In the comments, followers reacted, sending messages of support and expressing surprise. “He fooled everyone,” one said. “God bless you always,” declared another. Isabella Arantes, in turn, also commented: ‘he was born’.

The couple got engaged at the end of August, during a romantic trip to the Maraú peninsula, in Bahia. Both recorded photos of the trip on social media and have since appeared together in private moments.
