Tragedy! Three people die after eating a cake during a party in the city of Torres, Rio Grande do Sul
Last Monday, 12/23, the day before Christmas, a tragedy happened. Three people died after consuming a cake in the city of Torres, Rio Grande do Sul.
According to police information, the victims were in an apartment having afternoon coffee when they began to feel unwell. The cake would have been prepared in a house in the municipality of Arroio do Sal.
The Civil Police are investigating the case and are studying the hypothesis of poisoning of the sweets. The officers carried out investigations and found several products beyond the expiry date in the place where the dessert was prepared.
Insiders do not rule out two different hypotheses: poisoning or food poisoning. The food consumed was seized for forensic investigations.
Victims
The first two victims were women, who died within hours of each other after consuming the cake. They had a cardiopulmonary arrest, according to Nossa Senhora dos Navegantes Hospital. The third victim, hospitalized in intensive care, did not survive and died due to post-food poisoning shock.
In addition to the fatal victims, two other people are hospitalized: a woman, in intensive care; and a 10-year-old boy, who is under observation in stable condition.
The case has frightened Internet users on social media: “If you investigate properly, you will find out who killed everyone.“, one person commented.”Only one didn’t eat?” someone else asked. “In this world there are people for everything”, – added the third.
