Ney Latorraca’s body is buried by her husband, Edi Botelho, relatives, friends and fans at the Theatro Municipal one day after her death at the age of 80 due to complications from cancer. The couple had been together for almost 30 years

The body of Ney Latorraca it is veiled until 1.30pm at the Theatro Municipal, in the center of Rio de Janeiro, this Friday (27) in a ceremony open to the public. The artist who leaves her husband, the director Edi Botelho, a widowerwith whom he had a relationship for 30 years, will then be taken to cremation, in which only people close to the actor will participate.

Ney died at age 80 due to complications from prostate cancer discovered in 2019 and was hospitalized for six days. During the farewell, Edi couldn’t hold back her tears and cried in front of her husband’s coffin, was comforted by friends, and he described his companion’s last days in detail.
