John Sakra played in a square inside Minas Gerais and, for most of the time, there was only Geraldo Luís as a spectator
During a Christmas event in the Praça Central de Poços de Caldas, DJ John Sakra had to face the most feared situation for an artist: having no audience.
Even with the empty space, he performed the setlist. He received encouragement from his father, presenter Geraldo Luís, of RedeTV, sitting in front of him.
“There are people who are worth more than the crowds… Thanks dad for being a big fan of mine,” the boy wrote on a social network.
The veteran communicator reacted. “Always remember what I tell you, my son! It’s worth doing everything when you love, your father started by talking to no one and today I’m talking to a country. Nobody starts at the top, you are at your finish line and that is beautiful. Squares! Play in the squares, on stages, wherever music takes you.
As Milton Nascimento sings in ‘Nos Bailes da Vida’, “every artist must go where the people are”, even when the people are only one person. After a while, some pedestrians stopped to watch the DJ’s performance.
