Actress Blake Lively sued this Tuesday, December 31 at It Ends With Us director Justin Baldoniand other people related to the romantic drama.
Blake Lively’s accusations against Justin Baldoni
The artist claims alleged harassment and concerted campaigning to attack his reputation for complaining about his treatment on set.
The federal lawsuit was filed in New York hours after Baldoni and many of the others named in Lively’s lawsuit sued The New York Times for alleged defamation over an article about her allegations.
Those involved said the paper and the star were the ones who ran an allegedly coordinated smear campaign.
Lawsuits are big news in a story related to a movie that had an unexpected success. The case has already caused quite a stir in Hollywood and has opened up a debate about the treatment of actors both on set and in the media.
That’s what the lawsuit says
Lively’s lawsuit argued that Baldonithe film’s production company Wayfarer Studios and others participated in “a carefully planned plan of retaliationcoordinated and resourced to silence her and others from speaking.
He accuses Baldoni and the studio of getting on one “layered design” to damage her reputation after a meeting in which and her husband, actor Ryan Reynolds, They involved “repeated sexual harassment and other harassing behavior” by Baldoni and a producer, Jamey Heath, who is also named in both lawsuits.
The plan, according to the lawsuit, included a proposal to introduce theories in a discussion forum online, organize a social media campaign and publish news stories critical of Lively.
Alleged abuse on set included Baldoni’s comments about Lively’s bodies and other women on set. And the lawsuit says Baldoni and Heath “discussed their personal sexual experiences and theirs previous porn addictionand tried to pressure Ms Lively into revealing details of her intimate life.’
Baldoni’s attorney, Bryan Freedman, did not immediately respond to a request for comment on Lively’s lawsuit. But he previously called the same claims “completely false, outrageous and deliberately risky“.
Lively’s lawsuit comes on the same day as a defamation lawsuit filed in Los Angeles Superior Court by Baldoni and others against the Times, which alleges at least 250 million dollars. The Times stood by its report and said it plans to “vigorously defend itself” in court.
