Mireddys González, still the wife of Daddy Yankee, has released a powerful statement in which she defends her contribution to the Puerto Rican’s career.
His words come after a hearing in the Court of San Juan, Puerto Rico, resolved with an agreement the lawsuit filed against him by the singer over the management of his companies, El Cartel Records and Los Cangris.
As part of her agreement, she handed over the chairmanship of the companies to the father of her children and, in addition, promised to give him all the information related to, among other things, their management.
Because of the delay in handing over the information, González received an ultimatum from a judge, so her husband’s lawyers asked for an extension until December 30.
Daddy Yankee’s wife breaks her silence after being sued
Amidst the controversy caused by her legal battle with Daddy Yankee, Mireddys González has remained silent, according to her legal representatives, because she has a dull determination.
However, this year on December 31, the businesswoman finally spoke out through a message she posted on her Instagram account.
While he assured that he has always “valued the privacy” of his family and his relationship with dad Yankee, he explained that he decided to speak about his feelings “given the circumstances.”
“The divorce process I’m going through not only involves a personal change for my life, but also a professional readjustment,” he said.
“The companies and projects we have built together for 29 years represent much more than a financial effort, they are the result of your partner’s unconditional support, sleepless nights, difficult decisions made with common purpose,” he added.
She acknowledged that it was “very painful” to learn about the “unfortunate expressions of a legal team” that she does not know, apparently referring to the statements of the lawyers of the “Gasolina” interpreter.
“It has been forgotten that behind a public figure there are people who work tirelessly, contributing from different fronts, sometimes from the shadows, to advance a career,” he said.
“My commitment to Ramón Ayala’s career has always been genuine, based on love and the belief that we were a team. All these years, I have contributed my vision, my time and my dedication to build what is now known as a legacy,” he added.
Mireddys clarified that his “professional offer” and “offer” does not “take away the talent” of “who was the greatest of the urban genre”: “On the contrary, it enriches it, because together we achieved things that we would do. I have never succeeded individually.”

In the same letter, Mireddys González also addressed the end of her marriage to Daddy Yankee after nearly three decades.

After becoming the subject of speculation, he recalled that he is a man facing “divorce proceedings”: “Today I choose to move forward with dignity, seeking justice, equality, but above all, peace.”
