“I am an alcoholic and a heroin addict. Today marks five years of being clean and sober from all drugs and alcohol. To say I am grateful would be a gross understatement. Gratitude barely scratches the surface,” she said.

“It is because I am sober that today I can smile. I can make music. I can experience the joy of loving my dogs and my cat. I can feel the pain in all its intensity. I can cry. I can laugh. I can dance. I can trust . I feel the sun on my skin and it’s warm,” he added.
