This Friday, 10, Preta Gil he published a post on his Instagram stories talking about his health. On December 19 last year, the singer underwent surgery that lasted more than 20 hours to remove the tumor in her abdomen and is currently hospitalized at Sírio-Libanês hospital, in Sao Paulo.
From the hospital room, Preta Gil said he is fighting hard to heal, but that the post-surgery period is complicated. “I’m here in the hospital, recovering from surgery, which was very extensive, very major and has a very difficult post-surgery period and I’m here living one day at a time, fighting, trying my best to heal,” said Gilberto Gil’s daughter.
“[Estou] I’m dying to get out of here as soon as possible, but there’s still a recovery journey ahead of me, a lot of rehab and everything will be fine, I’m here firm and strong. I will return home soon, God willing,” he added.
Preta Gil discovered a Cancer in the intestine at the beginning of 2023. In addition to the surgery carried out in December, the singer also underwent radiotherapy sessions and a total hysterectomy, a procedure which involves the removal of the uterus.
