Vadhir, one of Eugenio Derbez’s sons, evacuated his home due to the devastating fires that hit Los Angeles from the evening of January 7th.
The singer mentioned through his stories on Instagram that he was forced to leave his home with Nala, his loyal pet whom he considers a daughter.
“Los Angeles Fires Evacuate” he said on Jan. 8 without elaborating on the situation he would experience in California, an area where he has resided for years.

On the evening of January 9, Eugenio Derbez reappeared on his social networks to share a short text originally published by his wife Alessandra Rosaldo on Instagram in which, in addition to thanking those who cared for her and her family, she said that she was fine.
“We are fine, we are safe. “It was scary and very sad to see Pacific Palisades disappear, the city that was our home when we came to this country, affecting and leaving very dear friends with nothing,” the Sentidos Opuestos singer wrote.
In the text, in which Eugenio Derbez would imply that he agrees with what his wife wrote, the singer assured that, as a family, they remained alert to the instructions of the authorities.
“The destruction is unimaginable and irreparable. We remain vigilant and ask a lot from the firefighters and rescuers who are working tirelessly and risking their lives to bring the situation under control.
Eugenio Derbez moved to California in 2013 with the goal of developing his artistic career in Hollywood. According to TV Azteca, in 2017 he acquired a property in the neighborhood of Beverly Hills. However, in 2022 he would have moved to Encino, Los Angeles, California.
