Beatriz Couto tiarasthe surfer’s daughter Danilo Coutopassed away in a tragic accident in Hawaii, during New Year’s Eve, between December 31st and January 1st. The cause of the accident has not been disclosed at the moment. Tiare, who studied environmental studies and political science at the University of Utah, US, was alongside his father in surfing competitions and had a promising career in the sport.
Danilo Couto, moved, paid a touching tribute to his daughter on his social networks. “My daughter, rest in peace and tranquility, your mission was accomplished with excellence, you taught true love wherever you went, continue to love, to teach and with your contagious energy live your new divine journey. I will love you for always,” wrote the surfer.
Tiare accompanied his father on his surfing journey and, in 2011, took the stage with Danilo to receive the XXL Global Big Wave Awards, after the surfer conquered a 20 meter wave in Jaws, Hawaii, one of the largest great successes of his career. . Several friends and family, including Brazilian surfers such as João Chianca and Luana Silva, expressed solidarity on social media.
