American actor Paul Sorvino, best known for Martin Scorsese’s Goodfellas and Law & Order, has died at the age of 84. This was reported by TMZ, citing a statement from his family.
According to the representative of the actor Roger Neal, the actor died on the morning of July 25. Next to the actor was his wife Dee Dee. She admitted that her heart was broken and called Sorvino “the love of her life.”
My great father Paul Sorvino has passed away. The heart is torn to pieces – the life of love, joy and wisdom has ended next to him. He was the most wonderful father. I love him so much. I send you love to heaven when you get there— wrote the daughter of the artist, actress Mira Sorvino in social networks.

Paul Sorvino was born April 13, 1939 in New York. He began his career as a copywriter in an advertising agency and entered the theater scene in 1964. Sorvino appeared in cinema only in the 1970s. Over a forty-year film career (from 1970 to 2010), Paul starred in more than 120 films, including Nixon and Romeo + Juliet. One of his most famous works was the film “Goodfellas” with Robert De Niro, Ray Liotta (also recently deceased) and Joe Pesci. In The Boys, he played Pauly Cicero. Also, many remember him for the series “Law & Order”, in which he played the role of Sergeant Phil Seretta.
Sorvino was married three times: from 1966 to 1988 – to Lorraine Davis, from 1991 to 1996 – to Vanessa Ariko, and the third and last time the actor married only in 2014 – Dee Dee Sorvino became his chosen one. Sorvino has children only from his first marriage – daughters Mira and Amanda and son Michael. The eldest daughter followed in his footsteps and built a career in cinema. Mira won an Oscar for her supporting role in The Great Aphrodite. Michael also became an actor.
