Peter ‘Navy’ Tuiasosopo, known for his roles in films such as ‘Street Fighter’ and ‘Fast & Furious’, died on February 10, 2025 in Phoenix, Arizona, at the age of 61 “Heart complications”.
The news of his death was confirmed by his son, Manter Peter Tuiasosopo, through an emotional publication on Facebook, where he expressed his gratitude for the support he received and underlined the legacy of the love and power that his father leaves.
“With great sadness, my family and I would like to thank everyone for our thoughts and prayers. Our father, Peter N. Tuiasosopo, died this morning at 3:16 A. m,” he reads in the message.
“My father lived an incredible life and in no way his impact stops here. We will continue to live with him in a spirit and no matter how sad by us, he is undoubtedly in heaven with his brothers, sisters, parents, daughter and Jesus, and no longer suffers.
The family thanked the signs of love in the message, without giving details of the death or funeral services.
His son shared with TMZ that Peter ‘Navy’ Tuiasosopo was “A pioneer for Polynesian actors in Hollywood”.
Who was Peter ‘Navy’ Tuiasosopo?
He was born on May 24, 1963 in San Pedro, California. Tuiasosopo had a different race that covered both sports and action. Prior to his invasion of the entertainment world, he was an American footballer who played as a NFL center for Los Angeles Rams.
His career began with his role as Manumana in the film “Necessary Roughness” in 1991. However, he was his interpretation of E. Honda in adapting the movie game “Street Fighter” in 1994 that destroyed him in fame.
Throughout his career, Tuiasosopo also participated in popular television series such as “The Jamie Foxx Show”, “Hawaii Five -0”, “NCIS”, “Black -ish” and “Magnum Pi ”.
Other of the successful films involved were “The Fast and the Furious”, “The Angels of Charlie”, “King of Scorpio” and “Baseketball”, just to mention some.
