“It was hard to go through”: Alicia Vikander spoke about the miscarriage for the first time

The actress stressed that after such a loss, it was by no means easy for her to go on the red carpet again.

Sometimes in life you have to face difficulties, and if you have an office job, you can take a short break from work. But there are other cases. I cannot understand how my colleagues and I found the strength to go out on the red carpet later. Most people wouldn’t be able to leave the house after that.

Despite everything, the actors still managed to have a baby. After the birth of their son in August last year, Alicia Vikander and Michael Fassbender went into the shadows – over the past six months, Alicia was published only twice (in October and early March), and then for “fashionable” reasons. And all these months Michael has been busy filming David Fincher’s new thriller The Killer. By the way, star parents also did not spread about the birth of a baby, and only in early April, the actress personally shared the good news with Harper’s Bazaar. The last time the couple went public was for the premiere of the series “Irma Vep” at the 75th Cannes Film Festival in May this year.

The public learned about Alicia Vikander’s pregnancy by accident thanks to a leak from her and Michael’s family archive: in January last year, a picture of a pregnant Alicia was published on social networks, apparently sitting at home in an armchair with a mug of water. A few months later, in early August, the paparazzi photographed Michael with a baby in his arms during his wife’s visit to the set of the series “Irma Vep” in Paris.

Recall that for the first time about the romance of the Irish movie star and the Swedish actress, they started talking in December 2014. The actors met on the set of the film “The Light in the Ocean”, which was included in the program of the 73rd Venice Film Festival, after which they began to spend a suspiciously long time together. 9 months after the start of the relationship, the couple broke up, but not for long: having reunited in the winter of 2016, the lovers attended the Oscars ceremony, where they kissed publicly for the first time.
