Meghan Markle denies she lied in controversial interview with Oprah Winfrey

______________________________

Earlier this month, Meghan Markle’s half-sister and eldest daughter of Duchess Thomas Markle’s father Samantha accused her relative of defamation and sued her. The reason was the statement made by Megan in an interview with TV presenter Oprah Winfrey that the Duchess of Sussex was “the only child in the family.” Megan’s legal team denies the accusations, citing the fact that each person’s ideas about their own childhood are extremely subjective.

plaintiff [Саманта] claims that he can refute the fact that Meghan “grew up as an only child.” However, this perception is not verifiable. It is difficult to imagine a more personal and subjective feeling than how a person perceives his own childhood. Moreover, the plaintiff completely ignores the context in which Ms Winfrey asked Meghan about her relationship with the plaintiff, court documents say.

Samantha is demanding $75,000 from Megan. The woman claims that the interview with Oprah, as well as Meghan’s biography “Finding Freedom: Harry and Meghan and the Making of A Modern Royal Family”, published in 2020, subjected her “humiliation, shame and hatred on a worldwide scale.”

Note that soon the new memoirs of Prince Harry will see the light, which even before the release are obviously considered scandalous – experts say that the book can completely destroy the Duke’s relationship with Buckingham Palace. It also recently became known that for the release of the memoirs, the Sussexes are preparing a reality show about their own lives, which is already in production under the auspices of the streaming giant Netflix. Apparently, with the advent of the series, we are waiting for even more juicy details of Megan and Harry’s relationship with relatives on both sides.
