Britney Spears and Elton John release date announced

______________________________

A few hours ago, Sir Elton John’s official page on social networks featured the official cover of his new single, recorded together with Britney Spears, confirming the rumors that arose in the media at the end of July. Hold Me Closer will be released on all streaming platforms on August 19th. The cover turned out, admittedly, uncomplicated: on a light pink background, two emojis are depicted – in the form of a rose and in the form of a rocket, and the names of the artists and the title of the track flaunt above it.

As we already wrote, it will be a fresh version of Elton’s 1972 hit “Tiny Dancer”. It is known that the single was produced by Andrew Watt and will be released with the support of the record company Universal Music.

This will be the 40-year-old singer’s first song since 2016, when she released the track Slumber Party, on the set of the video for which she met her current husband, Sam Asgari. In early July, the lovers got married.

According to insiders, it was Elton John who offered Britney musical collaboration, and she, in turn, is a longtime fan of his work:

It was Elton’s idea, and Britney is his big fan, – quotes the historian of the New York Post. “They did a remix of Tiny Dancer as a duet and it’s incredible. Britney was in the Beverly Hills studio in mid-July with Elton for a top-secret recording session supervised by producer Andrew Watt.

At the same time, another premiere of Spears is still in question – her memoirs cannot yet be printed due to a shortage of paper.
