A year ago, she organized a virtual lottery to travel to São Paulo, trying to consolidate her career in the fashion world.

Born on the outskirts of Salvador, Bahia, the young Adilson Silva, aka Santti, 20, witnesses a turning point in his life. A year ago, in August 2021, the Bahian model organized a virtual lottery to travel to Sao Paulo, in search of consolidating her career in the fashion world.
Today the Salvadoran from Cajazeiras, who worked as a bricklayer aide, along with his father, and a street vendor, along with his mother, is on the cover of this month’s Vogue Brasil. A goal that, according to him, served as an inspiration for other young people in the suburbs.
Until then, Santti’s greatest career achievement had been a victory at Beleza Black, considered the largest black beauty pageant in the North and Northeast. And her biggest show was on the Afro Fashion Day catwalk, a project of the Correio newspaper.
“I went in search of my dreams. I come from a humble family and all I do is think of them, they are everything to me”, reveals Santti, Run view.
The model’s prowess is also notable for her young age. A fashion highlight, her peasant Adriana Lima debuted in Vogue Brasil only at the age of 22. In São Paulo, Santti is managed by WAY Model, with established top names such as Sasha Meneghel, Carol Trentini and Alessandra Ambrósio.
Santti currently appears in fashion shows at São Paulo Fashion Week and Casa de Criadores, works for brands O Boticário, Ara Vartanian and Isaac Silva, and makes editorials in publications such as Vogue, Elle and GQ.
For him, the consolidation of his career is also a victory for young people looking for a career opportunity. “I’ve always had a passion for the art of modeling. At 16 I had the courage to enter this field. The protagonist of my first cover is a dream that I am realizing. I come from the periphery and I represent many young blacks who have not had the same opportunity. To hear from many that this has been an inspiration to them is what moves me, ”he adds.
The cover of Vogue Brasil was released earlier this month. In her social networks, Santti thanked the company. “And the long awaited cover has arrived, family, and I can’t help myself with happiness! Do me this favor, never give up on your dreams.
Now, the young man hopes to appear in campaigns and magazines around the world. “I want to achieve the long-awaited international career, which I believe I will reach soon, with a lot of faith, focus and determination,” said the model.
