Marcelo Sangalo Cady, son of Ivete Sangalo, took to social media this Wednesday, the 8th, to mourn the death of his friend Arturo Gatti Jr., son of Canadian fighter and boxing legend Arturo Gatti. The 17-year-old young man was found dead in the apartment where he lived with his mother, Brazilian Amanda Rodrigues, in Mexico.

On social media, Marcelo shared photos and videos of the moments spent with Arturo Jr. “Go in peace,” Ivete’s son wrote.
Arturo Gatti Jr.’s death was confirmed by family and friends to Canadian television station TVA Nouvelles. He was reportedly found dead by a neighbor.
The young man’s death comes 16 years after the death of his father, Arturo Gatti, found dead in an apartment in Porto de Galinhas (PE) in 2009.
Arturo Gatti was considered a boxing legend, having become world champion and accumulating 40 victories throughout his career. He had retired in 2007. Arturo Jr. followed in his father’s footsteps and also trained in boxing.
