Rafaella Justus, 16, spoke about beauty on social media, underlining that she is beautiful beyond her physical appearance, and denounced the aesthetic interventions carried out in recent years.

Rafaella Justus, 16, spoke openly about her appearance on Sunday evening, the 12th, on her Instagram profile. The issue began when he used the “Question Box” feature to interact with his followers on social media.

“Do you think you’re beautiful?” asked an admirer. Rafa Justus then replied yes: he considers himself a nice person. However, she is keen to underline that for her beauty goes far beyond physical appearance.

“I think I’m beautiful, but not just because of the way I look. I think true beauty is in the way we see ourselves, treat ourselves and others. I started feeling truly beautiful when I stopped comparing myself and started valuing what makes me unique. Everyone has insecurities, and that’s okay, but learning to look at yourself more fondly changes everything. For me, beauty is lightness, authenticity and peace with who we are,” she said.

Rafaella Justus has undergone some cosmetic interventions on her face in recent years. One of them was orthognathic surgery. According to Drauzio Varella’s website, it is a procedure indicated to correct and reposition the jaw and/or maxillary bones in case of congenital problems, reducing problems such as obstructive sleep apnea, temporomandibular disorder, among other factors that cause not only aesthetic but also functional damage.

Before that, when she was 14, she had benefited from deviated septum surgery and had also undergone rhinoplasty. The result pleased Rafa Justus, who even joked at the time about a problem he had experienced: “My ‘Face ID’ (facial recognition) does not recognize me with the tape and the micropore to open the cell phone,” he said with humor.
