Investigators report delays of up to 7 months in deliveries and defective products at Virginia Fonseca’s company, which can be fined R$1,000 per day.
The Public Prosecutor of Goiás (MP-GO) asked the Court to suspend sales made via live broadcasts by WePink, a cosmetics company led by influencer Virginia Fonseca. The request was made on Monday (13) after irregularities in the brand’s business practices were discovered.
According to the Notícias da TV portal, the The Consumer Protection Prosecutor’s Office has ascertained that WePink has accumulated more than 90 thousand complaints on the Reclame Aqui site in 2025 alone. The body has also registered around 340 formalized complaints to Procon between 2024 and the current year.
Al MP-GO’s investigations highlighted problems such as removal of negative comments, delivery delays of more than seven months, sending products other than those advertised or with defects, as well as failure to provide refunds to customers.
Prosecutor Élvio Vicente da Silva, head of the 70th Public Prosecutor’s Office, highlighted the statements of Thiago Stabile, a partner of the company, during a live broadcast. “We had 200,000 billings a month. We went from 200,000 billings a month to 400,000 billings a month,” Stabile said at the time.
In In the same live, according to the promoter, Stabile said: “We actually had a supply problem, because we grew very fast. Sometimes yes [demora]because some raw materials end, because we sell so many of them”.
MP-GO believes that these statements indicate that the company continued to sell the products knowing that it would not be able to meet the promised delivery time of 14 working days, which would constitute false advertising. Among the measures requested by the Public Prosecutor is the creation of a customer support channel with private individuals and a maximum response time of 24 hours. The agency also requires refunds within seven days and guaranteed delivery of all orders.
In case of non-compliance, WePink could be fined R$1,000 per day. The MP-GO also requests collective compensation for moral damages of R$5 million, allowing aggrieved consumers to subsequently request individual compensation.
