The Academy’s new CEO signals the return of all categories to live shows –

A year after the eight Oscar statues were contested ahead of the Oscars live broadcast, due to an attempt to shorten the show’s duration that ultimately failed, the 23 categories will likely be handled by the same in the future.

Kramer, former head of the Academy Museum, who began his tenure at the head of the organization on July 1, said painting“We are already hard at work with our Disney-ABC partners” on the 95th Academy Awards, which will take place on March 12, 2023. They are also working on this.”

He added the first Oscar since Infamous Will Smith Slap, “The energy around the show should feel like a grand celebration of cinema and awards: our heritage, our artists, our films, our future.”
