One of the most controversial programs on SBT, “Casos de Família” will air on September 7, after more than 18 years. In a note published on Tuesday (23/8), the station informed that registrations will be suspended by the end of the week.

Telegraph, the statement left open a possible resumption of the attraction next year.

“The broadcaster informs that the program could return in 2023, with a new season and new stories. It is worth mentioning that host Christina Rocha will remain under contract with SBT.

The suspension of the program coincides with the start of the free election program on television. But his demise was already winded due to the low grades.

Aired since May 2004, the attraction was presented until 2009 by Regina Volpato, and has been in charge of Cristina Rocha ever since.

It was created at a time when the barracks were giving good television ratings. Each edition was based on different conflicts between members of the same family, neighbors and even in the workplace, and often included yelling, swearing and general quarreling between attendees. But there was also the distribution of kisses to strangers by arguing couples.

In addition to the guests, the public also actively participated in the program with opinions and questions about the stories told.

Despite the climate that guaranteed the public, the justification of the program for being conflict-based was to guide and even resolve the cases presented, with the participation of a psychologist.

But the production was also questioned by the authenticity of the reports. Frequently, the participants of “Casos de Família” were seen in other programs, such as “Programa do Ratinho” on SBT and “Você na TV” and “Teste de Fidelidade” on RedeTV !.

On the other hand, an edition of the show ended with Christina reporting an alleged abuser of her wife to the police. But, as an authentic tale of the world of dogs, her wife did not want to pursue the accusation.
