Isabeli Fontana participated in the Venus podcast, on YouTube, and recalled some moments as a model, including the discovery of her pregnancy, the result of her relationship with Álvaro Jacomossi, at the height of her career, at the age of 19.
At the time, “the models had no children at the peak of their careers”, she being the first to get pregnant. “I was pumping, I was living in New York at the time, I was my face everywhere,” she said.
With the news, Isabeli came under a lot of pressure from the environment and even suggested an abortion. “My agent said, ‘Are you crazy? You won’t have this baby, will you?’ I said: “Of course I’m going! I love this son more than myself, ‘”she recalled.
Comments like “if you have this child, your career is over” have become common for her. “So it’s over, because I’m going to have this baby,” she replied. However, to everyone’s surprise, motherhood boosted Isabeli’s work, which she said she didn’t know was possible at the time.
Currently, the model’s son, Zion, is 19 and is studying computer science.
