Guilherme Sousa deceived friends and family with an edited video of Duty da Globo reporting the invasion of extraterrestrials
the comedian Guilherme Sousa saw his social media explode after sharing the reaction of friends and family with a fake call from a Globe Duty showing the arrival of extraterrestrials to Earth.

The video, released this Thursday 6, has already reached more than two million views and 151 thousand likes on Instagram alone, but according to Guilherme, he didn’t expect the repercussions to be so great.
“I even thought it had the potential to do it, but I didn’t think it would get to that point,” the comedian says in an interview with Estadio. “I was afraid to even show it to a lot of people, but everyone who saw it said ‘man, this is really cool’.”
For the “joke”, Guilherme joined an image of the reporter Renata Lo Prete in silence, a pronouncement of Joe Biden with a dubbing about the invasion and several fake tapes of UFO you found on the internet.
He explains that editing the video, which he did himself, took about two hours. “I’ve been doing content for a long time, so my head is already working [dessa forma]. When I think of an idea, it is already well structured in my head “.
In addition to producing content for the Internet, Guilherme works as an actor, presenter and screenwriter. He is part of the team of lady nighttalk show hosted by Nanny Werneckfrom 2021.
alien arrival
The choice of a “gotcha” on the ETs was not accidental. Guilherme is fascinated by the subject, as he explained at the beginning of his video, and was motivated by curiosity to know what it would be like to discover that aliens were indeed arriving on planet Earth.
“I wanted to see what my friends would be like to get this news, because maybe it would be something like how I would get it. From there I thought ‘man, I’m going to create a way they will believe this news,'” he says. .
On the reaction of those who fell in love with the deception, he explains that it was a “mix of emotions”. “There were friends who were a little upset, because they wanted it to be true,” she says. “There have been some who have been super relieved, because they already think the worst of a colonization of the extraterrestrials“.
For Guilherme, the possibility wouldn’t be that scary and, at some point, it could really happen. “Actually, I think it might already happen, but we don’t know, but someday everyone will know, I’m sure. There’s no way we can imagine we’re here alone.”
“I hope to live in the generation that will have this moment. I just hope it won’t be when I am old, because I really wanted to live young in that moment. They will go to war, right? I wanted to help them, not us,” he jokes.
fake news
Despite the jokes, Guilherme’s video sends an important message: it is very easy to deceive and be deceived by some content available on social networks. “The internet can be a very interesting place, but it can also be a very dangerous place,” warns the comedian.
“I think when you use it forever, this happens. You can use it to play there, play here, but for other issues, like political issues, there is no way, because it hits elsewhere,” he adds.
When asked if he’s ever been a victim of videos with the same style, he explains that, in fact, he’s sad as he always ends up recognizing lines because of his craft.
“My head always works in a way that I want to play with people, so when people try to play with me, I get it right away,” he says.
Even when it’s a joke, Guilherme ends up finding out. “My mom tried to throw me several surprise parties and she never succeeded because I always thought she was acting terrible,” he jokes.
