Two actors died last Wednesday (10/12) during the production of the film “Noche de Bodas” (pictured above) on the beach of Oaxaca, Mexico. The film directed by Osvaldo Benavides (interpreter of Doctor Mateo in “The Good Doctor”) stars the actress Ludwika Paleta (Maria Joaquina from the original version of “Carousel”).

According to the Mexico Daily Post, the death occurred after a group of extras went to the beach to have fun at the end of the day of shooting. Three of them decided to go into the sea, which at that time had strong waves and currents.

One of these extras was saved, but the other two, identified as Luis Manuel “N” (46) and Marco Antonio “N” (47), were unable to leave.

The body of Marco Antonio was found on Thursday morning by the Naval Search and Rescue Station of the Secretariat of the Navy and by the Municipal Directorate of the Civil Protection of Huatulco. But Luis Manuel is still missing and the search for the actor continues.

Meanwhile, production has been suspended.

The film’s production company, Traziende Films, issued a statement in which it reported the situation and sympathized with the families of the victims. They also said they are in contact with the authorities and will keep an open communication channel with the public.
