Record TV suffers a new hacker attack

Record TV suffered a second hacker attack in less than a week. Some of the broadcaster’s official websites, such as affiliates Record TV Rio and Record TV Paulista, were canceled this Saturday (15/10).

A hacker group has claimed authorship in Telegram groups.

Despite this, the new attack does little damage. On Saturday, all recording files, the station’s intranet and emails were blocked, in a data hijacking (ransomware) that impacted and wreaked havoc on the station’s scheduling.

Information circulated that the hackers had demanded a ransom to allow access to the files and the leaked amounts were between R $ 25 and 45 million. There is no payment information, but the problems seemed to be solved on Thursday (12/10).

The broadcaster did not comment on the previous attack, much less the current one.

Earlier this year, the same hacker group had already invaded and blocked the RedeTV! Website.
