‘I feel so sorry for him’: Ghilaine Maxwell, convicted of sex trafficking, spoke out in support of Prince Andrew

The other day, the notorious accomplice of entrepreneur Jeffrey Epstein, convicted of violence against minors, Ghilaine Maxwell, who is now serving a prison sentence for human trafficking, gave a rare interview to CBS.

The woman understands why Prince Andrew denies any connection with her, as well as with Epstein himself, and is also very sorry that the Duke of York had to pay with his own reputation for this friendship. Note that Ghilain has known Andrew since her studies at Oxford in the 80s.

I feel so sorry for him. I admit that this friendship could not withstand my imprisonment. I follow what happens to him. He has to pay a high price for contacting me. I consider him a dear friend and still treat him well,” she said.

Maxwell also admitted that she regrets the things she did with Epstein. According to the woman, in the eyes of the public, they turned her into an “evil Disney witch.”

Meeting him was the biggest mistake of my life. And obviously, if I could go back to that time today, I would have made a different choice.

In December 2021, Ghilain Maxwell was found guilty of human trafficking and facilitating the sexual abuse of several underage girls between 1994 and 2004. The woman was sentenced to 20 years in prison. Jeffrey Epstein was found dead in a holding cell in 2019. He died under mysterious circumstances, but the official cause is suicide.

Recall that the friendship with Jeffrey Epstein and Ghilain Maxwell completely destroyed the reputation of Prince Andrew. He was accused of sexual assault and was forced to pay millions of pounds earlier this year to one of his alleged victims, Virginia Giuffre. The woman claimed that Andrew raped her several times, the first of which took place when the girl was only 17 years old – then the same Jeffrey Epstein “sold” her to the Duke.
