The 73-year-old newly proclaimed King Charles received hundreds of thousands of letters of condolence in September over the death of his mother, and some of them are given special attention. The other day, a Briton received a postcard, signed by the monarch, in which an archival family photograph of the late queen and her first child was printed. The picture was published in one of the accounts about the British royal family Royals Other.
In a photo taken on September 28, 1952 by Lisa Sheridan, the current king of Great Britain is captured at the age of 4. In the frame, she and her mother, Elizabeth II, look out of the window into the street and seem carefree and happy.
It was very kind of you to send me such an amazingly generous message after the death of my beloved mother. Your thoughtful words are extremely comforting, and I cannot tell you how deeply I appreciate them at this time of immense sorrow,” Charles’s message reads.

The choice of photo for a postcard is not surprising — Charles is quite often nostalgic for his childhood. For example, after death of father, Prince Philipin a BBC broadcast, he recalled:
Father was great at organizing wacky games. I mean, it was fun to have young parents. There were a lot of car chases and other crazy things.
By the way, the younger sister of Charles and the only daughter of Elizabeth and Philip, 72-year-old princess annasomehow recalled fishing with his father.
I always said that I could not catch anything, and he answered: “Nonsense, come with me.” And after half an hour of futile attempts, he said: “I understand what you mean.” I just knew that I would never learn it.
Recall that unofficially, Charles became king at the same moment as passed away Elizabeth II. However, the monarch has yet to pass coronation — it will take place in early May next year. Buckingham Palace recently revealed key details of the historic ceremony.
