King Charles III took over the role of Prince Harry – details

______________________________

While Prince Harry is preparing for the release of his memoirs, which have made a lot of noise on social networks by their title alone, the new King of Great Britain, Charles III, continues to distribute duties among the senior members of the royal family. And yesterday, on the day of the 358th anniversary of the founding of the Royal Marines, which was formed on October 28, 1664 during the reign of King Charles II, Buckingham Palace announced the name of its new ceremonial head. For the role of the captain-general, which was played by Prince Harry before the Megzit, Charles III decided to unexpectedly appoint … himself. The position was previously thought to be filled by the late Queen’s only daughter, Princess Anne, who is patron of the Royal Navy and Royal Marines charity and Commander-in-Chief of Portsmouth.

In a personal message to the Royal Marines, Charles III said:

It is my greatest pleasure to assume the role of captain-general. I am extremely proud to follow in the footsteps of so many members of my family who have held this position for the past three and a half centuries, and all of them have treated this role with a deep sense of admiration. The Royal Marines have a distinguished and unparalleled history both on land and at sea. I draw great inspiration from your courage, determination, self-discipline and remarkable ability to survive in the most extreme conditions. I am honored to be part of the Corpus family and I look forward to meeting many of you in the near future. In the meantime, I express my sincere and special wishes for a happy 358th birthday.

This appointment, royal insiders say, can only strengthen Harry’s already difficult relationship with his father. According to them, Prince Harry and his wife Megan are so offended by the royal family that they are ready to abandon the traditional celebration of Christmas with relatives, even if the invitation comes personally from His Majesty.

As relations between the couple and the royal family hit rock bottom, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex no plans to rejoin the family, including Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton, for their first Christmas without the Queen at Sandringham Manor in Norfolk– quotes the words of his informants from the Mirror Palace.
