Adame says his right eye was ‘above’ the other and he lost sight after a fight

Alfredo Adame revealed that he has a 30 percent eye damage behind the savage beating given to him by two men outside his home in Mexico City on September 28.

It’s been two weeks since the actor was released from hospital where he underwent surgery for multiple facial injuries and recently revealed the irreparable damage he was left with.

“I have a 30 percent eye loss. The right eye is higher than the left and the eyelid as well. The optic nerve is not affected, nothing else was irritated, but the muscles are stressed,” the actor said in an interview for “Venga la alegría” on October 31.

In addition, the 64-year-old actor and presenter announced that he is not excluded from developing glaucoma in the future, that is, an eye condition that can cause blindness.

One of his big concerns, precisely, was his vision, because it was the area that was visibly affected the most since he announced that he was a “collateral victim” of the fight that took place near his home. Fortunately, doctors found that “there is no retinal detachment,” according to Adame on October 14 in the “Ventanenado” program.

The star of soap operas such as Bajo un Mismo Rostro also spoke about the fact that in the surgery he had to undergo, four titanium plates were placed in his face.

Alfredo Adame fears for his safety

In assessing the damage, Alfredo Adame also includes the psychological aspect, because in recent days he has been feeling nervous and “completely insecure”. In fact, he revealed that he has lost sleep over the attack.

“Little black trucks showed up, old and ugly, with tinted windows and everything. I feel totally insecure, seeing where he’s coming from as well. This comes from the execution of a drug dealer. The psychological damage will require at least two years of consultation,” said the actor in “Venga la alegría”.

How is the process going with Alfredo Adame’s strikers?

Regarding the legal process against the men who attacked him, identified by the Mexico City Attorney General’s Office as Sergio “N” and Ángel “N”, Alfredo Adame reported that the subjects filed a legal appeal to face the procedure. However, they were denied release last Friday, October 28, and remain in prison.

Two weeks ago, the actor stated that he presented two videos to the authorities (in which the events are shown) for the expert opinion that supported his version that on the day of the incident one of the attackers hit him with a stone. Alfredo Adame informed “Ventaneando” that the authorities could determine that he suffered an assassination attempt.

“If what the police, the coroner, the hospital and I are saying is true: that he hit me, and it’s recorded, with his fist or with a blunt object, then this changes from a fight with intentional injury to homicide to degree of attempt,” he said.
