The sister identified with the presenter’s story during an interview with him on ‘Conversa com Bial’
manoel Soares shared last Monday, 14, during the Meet with Patricia Poet, who has a sister he didn’t know. The presenter said he was approached shortly after being interviewed on the programme Conversation with Bialin 2020. However, meeting face-to-face with Amanda Soares only happened recently.
In the call for the special report, Manoel demonstrated his happiness to be able to tell this new chapter of his story.
“I had a wonderful surprise. […] I found out I have a sister. I lived with my father until I was eight years old and due to domestic violence my mother ended up leaving him. After that she had a daughter. […] This girl found me in a very, very unexpected way.”
Next, the report shows the presenter giving his sister a face-to-face surprise in Quingoma Quilombo, in Lauro de Freitas, in the metropolitan region of Salvador.
“You are my face! It is very crazy, it seems that I have known her since I was born. Looking at her was absurd because I saw my face. At the same time it is scary, it is beautiful, it is like finding first love”, described the presenter .
Manoel shared this moment on his Instagram profile and completed it, saying that the meeting “was unexpected and magical” and that “he can’t wait to experience many more extraordinary moments” together with his new sister.
Amanda also said she received lots of love and messages of support.
“I want to thank you for all the affection and every message I have received, for your welcome. This is a moment of great emotion for me, for my family, this encounter with our history, with mine, with Manoel’s , with my brothers ,” he said.
