On the evening of November 12, the legendary Albert Hall in London hosted the annual Festival of Remembrance, dedicated to the fallen soldiers of Great Britain and the Commonwealth countries. Traditionally, the guests of honor of the event were working members of the royal family. This year, King Charles III and Queen Consort Camilla, Prince and Princess of Wales Kate and William, Princess Anne and her husband Timothy Lawrence, and the Earl and Countess of Wessex Edward and Sophie took the main box this year.
This is the first joint appearance of the British royal family since the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II. It is not surprising that this year the Day of Remembrance in the UK is held under the sign of Elizabeth II. After all, she considered Memorial Day one of the most important events in her annual calendar. That is why the Royal Albert Hall was decorated in memory of the Queen, and the family and guests watched archival footage of Elizabeth II.

It should be noted that on a special occasion, all royal persons came to the event in discreet images of black and blue shades and complemented the outfits with brooches in the form of poppies, which are a symbol of mourning for those who died during armed conflicts. By the way, the number of poppies on the brooches symbolizes the number of relatives of the monarch who died in the fighting.
It is noteworthy that Kate Middleton, Princess of Wales, in her image paid tribute to Queen Elizabeth II, who died on September 8. The princess completed her look with a Carrard pearl necklace, once owned by Her Majesty. It is known that during her lifetime, Elizabeth adored this necklace and lent it to only two persons – Princess Diana and Princess Kate. The latter wore the jewelry twice – on the 70th wedding anniversary of Elizabeth and the Duke of Edinburgh in 2017, and also at the funeral of Prince Philip in 2021.
