In this interview, he explains what it will be like to have no secret in front of the cameras.
Sylvester Stallone is preparing to get more personal than ever on his new reality show. The Hollywood heavyweight didn’t mince words when he sat down with ET Canada’s Carlos Bustamante for a candid conversation about his iconic career, family life and secrets to staying young.
Fans will soon be able to see a whole different side of the “Rocky” star when his upcoming reality show, from the producers of “Keeping Up with the Kardashians,” hits screens. The series will focus on Stallone’s life with his wife Jennifer Flavin and his daughters Sophia, 26, Sistine, 24, and Scarlet, 20. “I want to be realistic with my daughters. In fact, I want to have images of that”says the 76-year-old actor.
Explaining why he decided to invite the cameras to his house in the first place, Stallone admits that the series is “uncharted waters.”“When I grew up, I would have liked to see stars like Brando at home boiling eggs and being silly.. That’s interesting,” she explains. “They’re really human. They don’t go around wearing sunglasses and people putting on makeup all day and learning phrases. They really do dumb, repetitive, silly things that we all do in life. That kind of things”.
Stallone praised “The Osbournes” for being the first reality show to get totally real with its viewers. “I think the first one that really hit the mark was Ozzy Osbourne,” shares the actor. “He just didn’t care. ‘My dog shits on the floor, I’m not a superstar.'” However, Stallone also admits that he was concerned that the show would be embarrassing “every day” during filming. “I was like, ‘Why do I have to do this shit, seriously?'”he acknowledged. “So you had to set parameters. No one is going to walk into the bathroom and watch you brush your teeth.” Stallone insists that “99 percent” was for his daughters to “explore their lives.”
She also talked about her morning routine, which is all about taking it easy. “I think everyone should allow themselves an hour in the morning before the madness starts”, He says. “I start with stretching and then do some weird exercises that aren’t normally worked, like lower back and forearms. Something that isn’t too strenuous, but is a unique muscle that nobody works.”
Though Stallone is often asked how he stays looking good at 70, the “Tulsa King” star He attributes his youthful appearance to genes and a good diet. “You have to have a certain type of genetics and you have to have the will to want to do it,” he says. “That’s the big problem: how difficult.”
