On the occasion of Thanksgiving, 41-year-old Meghan Markle teamed up with the Los Angeles-based Downtown Women’s Center and personally took part in preparing free holiday meals for more than 300 homeless women. In a photo from the official website of the Archewell Foundation, the Duchess, in the company of other volunteers, deftly cuts a traditional pumpkin pie and arranges it in containers.
The DWC provides a wide range of resources to help homeless women, including women veterans and their families, women with severe physical and mental health issues, and women who have experienced domestic violence, according to an official statement on the Meghan and Harry Foundation’s website.
