Tirullipa (“Os Parças”) spoke on Tuesday evening (6/12), apologizing for the excesses that led to his expulsion from Farofa da Gkay. He was accused of harassment for pulling on guests’ bikinis and attempting to touch her breasts during a “prank” in honor of “Gugu’s bathtub”.
The comedian posted a video on Instagram, in which he assumed he was wrong and tried to justify himself, stating that he had no “intention” to do harm.
“Everyone speak up. After speaking to Gkay and the entire Farofa production, I want to apologize here to all the girls, women, Nicole, who felt harassed, it was not my intention. I tried to make a joke, a joy , but I really outdid myself. Indeed, that climate of Farofa, that everything can, in reality everything can’t,” he said.
“I hesitated, I made a mistake and I’m here to apologize to you Nicole and others who have felt hurt, forgive me. People who work with comedy are very complicated,” he added, quoting influencer Nicole Louise, who she described herself as harassed on social networks.
He finished off by asking for forgiveness and stating that the episode is for him and other comedians to connect that “less is more.”
“God knows from my heart, I came here with my wife, I am a father of two daughters and I didn’t want this for them. So, I beg your forgiveness in public and I have decided to withdraw from Farofa. I spoke to Gkay and said ‘ I didn’t want to spoil the party.’ The party will go on and enjoy it because it’s for you,” she continued.
“Apologies again for the jokes. Less is more and I went overboard. This serves as a lesson not only for me but also for other comedians that less is more. It was not my intention. I just wanted to bring joy but unfortunately this happened. Sorry and happy holidays to all at Farofa,” he added.
In a statement, Farofa’s organization confirmed that Tirulipa was expelled from the Marina Park Hotel, in Fortaleza, Ceará, where the party is taking place.
“Due to the harassment episode that took place this afternoon at Farofa da Gkay, the organization of the event took immediate action, with the removal of the guest who had behaved in this way. The entire team repudiates this type of behavior and would never advocate any disrespectful attitude towards women or anyone else on the site,” the official text, posted on Instagram, said.
