Journalist Gloria Maria has begun a new phase of her treatment for lung cancer.
Through a press release, Rede Globo explained that Gloria is temporarily away from “Globo Repórter”, but that her state of health is stable. It’s worth noting that the reporter hasn’t appeared on the show for a few weeks.
🇧🇷[A apresentadora está] proceeding with a new phase of his treatment, foreseen a few months ago. He’s fine, at home, he should only be back next year,” the broadcaster said in a statement.
Three years ago, Gloria Maria underwent brain surgery.
In a recent interview with GE magazine, the journalist commented on the fight against brain tumor. “I no longer live on dreams. I live on reality. I have a lot to accomplish. I have an extra due date and I’m enjoying it in every way,” he said.
In January of this year, Gloria Maria was hospitalized for a few days after testing positive for covid-19. Despite the stable clinical picture, during her hospitalization she had to place a lung drainage.
