Hypebeast reports that 73-year-old Miuccia Prada is stepping down as CEO of the Prada Group. Rumors about this have been circulating for a long time and, according to insiders, investors insisted on finding a new person. Andrea Guerra, whose appointment will be officially confirmed next January, will head the group, according to Business of Fashion. Note that at the same time, Miuccia Prada will continue to act as creative director of the brands Miu Miu and Prada, along with designer Raf Simons.
Andrea Guerra — former CEO of Luxottica and the hotel division of LVMH. Recall that Luxottica owns brands such as Ray-Ban, Oakleys and Sunglass Hut, as well as a license for a line of Prada and Armani sunglasses.

Miuccia shared the CEO position with her husband, Patrizio Bertelli, who will remain chairman of the company. Earlier in 2021, he said that their son Lorenzo could lead the business in the future, but so far these hints have not been continued. Lorenzo Bertelli has been with Prada since 2017 as Marketing and Digital Communications Manager.
It should be noted that the outgoing year brought personnel changes to many eminent fashion houses. Earlier in November, we wrote that on the eve of his 50th birthday, Gucci creative director Alessandro Michele was leaving his post. That same month, designer Tom Ford sold the name brand to Estée Lauder.
