Princes Charles, William and Kate Middleton share rare family photos on Queen Elizabeth II’s birthday

Today, on the birthday of Queen Elizabeth II, members of the British royal family did not miss the opportunity to congratulate Her Majesty on her 96th birthday. This has already been done by two of the Queen’s heirs – her eldest son, Prince Charles, and her grandson, Prince William. Congratulatory publications appeared in their joint accounts with their wives. So, Prince Charles and Camilla Parker-Bowles shared both recent and archival photos with the Queen and wrote:

Today we wish His Majesty the Queen a very special 96th birthday in the year we celebrate her platinum jubilee.

On the page of Kate Middleton and Prince William, a more detailed congratulation appeared, in which the couple called Elizabeth “an inspiration for the British”:

Congratulations to Her Majesty the Queen and Happy 96th Birthday! She is an inspiration to many across the UK, the Commonwealth and the world, and is especially appreciated this year. #PlatinumJubilee.

The first photo showing the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge with the Queen was taken in 2019 during the Chelsea Flower Show. On the second – the Queen and Prince Philip, surrounded by great-grandchildren. This portrait was presented in April last year after the death of the Duke of Edinburgh.
