The manager of Thiago Rodrigues, Maria Moraes, said in an interview that the actor is in a state of shock after being beaten when leaving a bar in Rio de Janeiro on Saturday night 10.

“He’s fine now, he’s been badly injured and he’s shocked by the situation. It’s really sad to see how vulnerable we are to this kind of thing. […] Her head was badly injured, part of the scalp broke off,” the entrepreneur explained to the magazine Who🇧🇷

Moraes also revealed that the situation started when Thiago was about to take a taxi. “It was absurd cowardice. He was about to take a taxi. He left a party nearby and crossed to get a taxi. And when he went to cross Santos Dumont square he had already been accosted. He woke up with a lady who was looking after But he was injured and unconscious until he arrived, I believe,” he added.

The artist left a bar when he was approached by about five criminals. He reportedly tried to escape, but was thrown to the ground and beaten unconscious. The heartthrob was found on Sunday morning, 11, by a saleswoman at the antiques fair in Praça Santos Dumont.

After waking up, Thiago was taken to the Miguel Couto Municipal Hospital and released after receiving treatment. The case was registered by the Civil Police of Rio de Janeiro at the 15th Police Station (Gávea). The perpetrators of the crime have not yet been identified.
